The opulent Intown
Luxury House guest house Rome is
located in one of the most beautiful and
affluent areas of Rome. Piazza di
Spagna is an extremely chic area
with ostentatiously designed buildings,
elegant bars, avant-garde and traditional
restaurants and sassy streets full of the
most famous Italian designer label boutiques.
Our luxury suites are close to many of
the most popular Roman landmarks: the Spanish
Steps, Trevi Fountain,
Colosseum, Piazza
del Parlamento, Piazza
Venezia and Villa Medici.
The lanes and streets in the immediate vicinity
of the Intown Luxury House Rome
are also steeped in hundreds of years of
Rome’s fascinating history and culture.
Located in Via Bocca di Leone
7, the Intown Luxury
House Rome is situated in a historical
part of Rome. There were many Roman taverns
in this area once upon a time, offering
accommodation to visitors from the North
of Italy. Via Bocca di Leone
is a subsidiary to the surrounding streets
and the main square and was filled with
traditional hotels, artisan workshops, inns
and restaurants. In 1847 Vincenzo Gioberti
penned a famous letter on the Italian Republic
here and in 1854 Pope Pius IX met with His
Majesty Don Pero, King of Portugal.
The Palace of the Torlonia
is the most important building on Via
Bocca di Leone. Architect
Antonio Sarti constructed the distinctive
fountain marking the palazzo on
Via Bocca di Leone
which lies between Via Frattina
and Via dei Condotti. The fountain
is made of a beautiful antique sarcophagus
displaying a sensual relief of satyrs and
young girls. Two lions’ paws raise
the semicircular marble basin off the ground.
The lion symbolism continues with a moon
shaped arch, on the side of the sarcophagus,
containing two lions protecting the Torlonia
family coat of arms.
How to arrive:
In the centre of the Italian peninsula
Rome is easily reached from both the north
and south. It has good transport connections
with two international airports, international
railway network and good highway.
The main airport is Rome’s Fiumicino
Airport (FCO) also known as Leonardo
da Vinci International Airport.
Extremely well connected to Rome’s
central transport hub, Stazione Termini,
the Leonardo Express runs directly from
Fiumicino to the main train station in the
heart of Rome. The service is regular departing
every 30 minutes. Between 23:30 and 5:00
there is a COTRAL night bus.
Rome’s second airport is Ciampino
Airport (CIA) is mainly served
by low cost airlines and is slightly less
well connected. There are COTRAL buses which
run between the airport and Anagnina subway
station. Anagnina is at the end of line
A and thus can take Intown Luxury
House Rome guests directly to Piazza
di Spagna. Alternatively, take
one of the coach services that operate outside
the airport terminal and take new arrivals
to Stazione Termini.
Stazione Termini is not
only Rome’s main train station but
also the main transport hub of central Italy.
It is the central bus station and where
the two metro lines converge. It is well
connected to Tiburtina railway and bus station.
On arrival at Stazione Termini head for
the underground subway line A direction
Battistini and get off
at Piazza Spagna where
the luxury guest house hotel is located
in the heart of historical Rome.
Intown Luxury House is
happy to organise transfers to the guest
house on arrival in Rome. We offer airport
pick-ups and drop-offs in Mercedes cars. |
